The youngster Rosario (19) is from Chile. She just finished studying the International Baccalaurate for two years in the Atlantic College in Wales, with people from all over the world. An amazing experience that opened her mind and gave her a new perspective of cultures and also an incentive for social change. Nowadays she is taking a gap year in Chile, doing some traveling and working to save money for her studies. She’s looking forward to a scholarship to study social sciences in Germany and needs to save for the tickets and expenses. Her biggest passion is playing music. She sings and plays the guitar and the violin. Moreover she has her own Latin American Folk band. Through the music, she shows people from other countries how beautiful their culture is.
I was impressed to meet such an interesting young girl, a high potential thousand-feet with an optimistic spirit and faith, driven and motivated for social change in the world.

WHAT DOES FREEDOM MEAN TO YOU?
As Janis Joplin sang “Freedom just another word for nothing left to lose”…To don’t depend on anything or anyone. To be able to leave behind everything you have without hesitating because you feel content with yourself, because you believe in you capacities and on who you are. To do what you inner being tells you to do.
WHAT DOES “FRIENDSHIP” MEAN TO YOU?To share a piece of your heart with someone. To listen, to be there, to give yourself for the other.
WHAT DOES SUCCESS MEAN TO YOU?
To feel you have achieved something you truly believe in, something you have made a big effort for and you have put all your soul and energy on it.
WHO DO YOU ADMIRE THE MOST IN THE WORLD?
People that sacrifice their lives for others, for justice, for something they believe in.

Music. I got it from my mom and it is an amazing way of discovering the world and showing people who you really are. You can to know people and its culture very deeply through music.

Mainly other people. We are social beings and we need from others to grow. Challenging experiences, to face my weak points and to work on them.

The economic and political system…the education system.
